well, the most unforgettable momant is the time when our school band performed in
Victoria Concert Hall. I was one of those performing and was playing the flute!
i remembered the atmosphere being tense yet warm as there were many people that had come to support the band..whether they are friends or families.
yepps...i enjoyed every moment of it..our performance was a success!
and i can never forget the memories of the memorable night.
While everyone is enjoying the music that we play..
we too are enjoying playing the beautifulll pieCes.
it is a great experienCe and a gReat recollectiOnnn..

september holidays? are they meant to be a holiday for everyone?
a break for all? my grandpa did not had a break at all.
He was due to have an eye operation last thursday and friday.
yet i could not be there for him on thursday as I was in malaysia.
poor ahgong.. but he had a successful operation.
he had an operation because he had a cataract in his eye that is blur..
so his eye was bandaged and he had to stay at our house for 2 days.
On friday, when I came back, me and my sister brought him to Singapore General Hospital
,eye centre to remove the dressing and for an eye check-up.
the doctor said that he was okay and told him the instructions for medication.
even thou it is hard to communicate wif him as my teochew is average, we had fulfill our responsibilities and took care of himmm..i hope that he is ookay noww.
grandpa, thanks! and takkaire..
i'll visit yoo again!

i used to take life fer granted and did not appreciate what life has to offer mee.
i was quiet, shy and timid in primary skool. and did not dare to speak up in class.
my studies were also not that goodd and i was always one of the last in class.
i was one of those "isolated" ones..a real introvert.
when i reach hum, i would hide myself in the room, complaining about my life.
but ever since i came to seconday skool, bmss i became a person wif confidence
and leadershipp.
i guess that's part of my life alreadyy.
i love my liffe. and i love my frens.
life is everything to me.
i'll treasure it.

Reflection on "Falling Pregnant"

this article is about 2 women named Julie Richards, 34 and T
ertia Albertyn, 36 who undergoes Inter-vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
to be pregnant as they could not conceive naturally.
With high hopes, they tried IVF for about 5 years but each time, losing their babies.
Until they stumbled upon a online IVF support group , www.ivfconnections.com
which is an obvious place to head and had a lot of immediate benefits!
They felt that by sharing feelings and their thoughts to strangers, they can totally be themselves. It was also a chance to feel less isolated than sharing feelings with their family...
Julie and Tertia gave each other encouragement and hopes and they were soon as close as sisters even though they have never really met each other before.
Through mutual trust and the bond they have, in may 2004,
they both did IVF cycles at the same time. Although they felt rather dejected, thinking that the cycle would not work again, five days later, they were confirmed to be pregnant.
They were overwhwlmad with joy and Tertia even had twins to be due!
Both women spent the next months veering between excitement and a state of anxiety.
As their due dates drew nearer, they shared ideas on babies' names and room decor. Finally,
Julie gave birth earlier and her baby was safe though it was premature.
Tertia, on the other hand, gave birth to a healthy pair of twins.
I feel very happy for them and I hope that their babies can grow up quickly, healthy and strong.
I think that Julie and Tertia as well as other parents who conceive through IVF will enjoy the joys and pains of parenthood.
As it is difficult for them to come this far. and through encouragement, they could overcome the infertility and contemplate life, taking care of their babies.

I think that this treatment is rather effective as most of the patients with
long-term phobias have benefited and recovered from it. The technology used
to create the illusion of being in a virtual world is so promising that the therapy
is becoming more popular!
Therefore, I hope that more people can try and benefit from this therapy.

" Carjacked" by Anita Bartholomew

my reflections:
This article is about a mother who gave up her car to a carjacker for the
safety of her 2 children. I felt that it was very noble and courageous of her to
risk being injured or killed by confronting the carjacker to release her kids!
However, the carjacker ignored her pleas and sped away with the kids in the car.
Fortunately, the police caught him after a 2-hour long chase and managed to save the kids
from any harm. It was indeed a relief for the mother to know that her kids were safe.
carjacking is rather common and I hope that it can be prevented so that all parents or even other vulnerable victims can be at ease while driving cars especially at deserted places or at night.

greetings!
here i am with another recount post:
well..want to know where i go for the june holidays?!?
well, basically, i went to an educational trip to China with my school.
There were 31 of us from different classes and levels...
We went to different parts on China such as:
* Hangzhou
* Nanjing
* Suzhou
* and most importantly, Shanghai!
It was an interesting and enriching trip indeed.
oh! i also went to Kukup, a sort of village in Malaysia.
And ho! i get to experience kampong life!
haha! kidding.. but it was really an enjoyable trip!
if you ever get the chance to go there, i'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as i do!

- What is the most embarrasing moment in my life?
erm..the most embarrasing moment in my entire life is when I pulled the national flag up wrongly during flag-raising. Even though this incident happened last year, I still felt embarrased about it. I was supposed to pull the flag all the way up, slowly and correctly but as I was inexperienced that time so I pulled the wrong string and the flag went down instead. I panicked and pull it up immediately. my face was so flushed.
humiliating indeed.
i can't blame others but myself.

- When did I last visited my elderly? What did we do?
Last Wednesday, with my group.
We talk to our elderly, Chow pei Lan and she is very sociable and of course, friendly.
Although we felt awkward, we managed to ask her a lot questions to know her better.
hmm...interesting! we had fun!

- What is the saddest moment of my life?
perhaps, when my dear grand uncle passed away. He was my grandfather's older brother, a great and humble man of eighty-nine. He doted on me a lot and I remembered vividly when my grand uncle asked where I am in his hospital bed but I was held back by an event and couldn't visit him. When he was discharged, he went home but he fell down the stairs, knocked his head and perished. I never get to see him the last time. I was really depressed and even cried at his funeral. but I believed that he will remain alive in my heart.
I missed him.

- what is the happiest moment of my life?
Well, the chance to travel to Perth, australia when i was 13 years old! it's just like a dream come true for me to go to a further country other than malaysia or whatever. I was hoping to go to a country like australia to learn and experience the australians' cultures, food and their places of interest. I even get to experience farm life for two whole days and miking a cow is so much fun!
haha. yeah..i really enjoyed my trip there.

okay..for english lesson, we are supposed to do our personal recount on our own bloggie!
like happiest and saddest moment..some events from the past and we must like recount or recollect from the past, something like that. so here goes nothing..
